Step One: The One Activity You Need to Determine if Your Dream Life Will Come True
Take a piece of paper, fold it down the centre, on the one side I want you to write a current day in your life. Get specific. You can do two of these for the week day version of you and weekend version of you. For us corporate girlies, we have to utilize our weekends. On the second side I want you to write a day in the life as the dream of version of you. the version of you who has the career, the relationships, the finances and the home you visualize for yourself.
Once you have both lists I want you to draw a line from your current day in your life to your dream life. What daily tasks, habits or routines are you currently doing that will bring your dreams to life?
When I did this I had one item. This will show you that your daily actions are either lining up with your big goals or not. Not to worry there are 13 more steps to rebrand your life before 2026.
ACTION STEP: Complete the daily habit dream life activity
Step Two: Reconnect with your Vision
If you completed step one you are already a head on this step but I want you to dive deeper. Create a vision board, watch content creators who are living in an apartment you want and visualize yourself there. Go for a walk, dance, do some breath-work before sitting down and looking towards the future. Once you have a vision board let it sit for a week or so. We will come back to it.
ACTION STEP: Go for a walk, listen to calming music and visualize the future you want to have (not the one you think you deserve)
Step Three: Uncovering Limiting Beliefs
As you build your vision board and looked to the future your body probably told you what it thinks you deserve. Those are your limiting beliefs. A limiting belief is a belief that solidified in your childhood/early teens about your world view on everything. Finances, Career, Relationships etc. Uncovering your limiting beliefs is a life long process but it is crucial to giving yourself permission to achieve your goals.
Example, maybe on your vision board you have put a luxury penthouse condo. This is your dream of having this space. It is all yours but when you think about your chest tightens, stomach swoops and part of you thinks it is not possible? Why? Maybe growing up you never felt safe in your own space, move around a lot so you didn’t have stability. This vision of a luxury penthouse condo means you want safety by having luxury you never thought possible but you also want to be up higher in the sky so the instability can’t reach you. In order to work through limiting beliefs like this you have to energetically believe you are worthy of that luxury penthouse condo. When that chest tighten, physical sensation happens as you think of limiting beliefs say “thank you for trying to keep me safe but I am safe striving for [insert your goal here]”
ACTION STEP: Ask yourself what areas of your life do you feel stuck? If you look back on areas of your life or past times that you started to strive for a goal those will be areas your limiting your self. Ask yourself what made you feel unsafe about achieving those goals?
Step Four: Reframe Productivity in a Fast Paced Non Creative World
As you rebrand yourself you are going to get the urge to do it all. To make massive lists and want to change every area of your life with a snap of your figure but remember you are a procrastinator mixed with an all or nothing foundational system. You are not going to start something until you have decided to go all in. And once you “fail” you will avoid that action for a while. This means you need to reframe productivity as this new rebranded version of yourself. This new version of you views productivity as…
Before productivity might be filling your days with busy work like creating content in Canva that you will never post which isn’t actually moving the needle in your content creation business where as now productivity is DMing five brands about UGC opportunities this week and post one reel and one carousel.
ACTION STEP: Define what productivity means to you right now. And then define what productivity means to the future version of you.
Step Five: Addicted to Planning vs Actually Living it.
You are in a perpetual state of planning. There are 5 stops on this cycle. Learn to recognize how often you work through this cycle in order to stop repeating the pattern.
- The surge of energy – you will get this from a Tiktok video, a creative project, a business idea and it’s going to excite you to start planning.
- The hours of Planning – to do lists, Pinterest boards, branding, plans of alll kinds because you need the perfect plan before you can start.
- The Perfect Future – you start to visualize future you – if you simple stick to the perfect plan all your dreams will come through. This stage is exhilarating because future you has everything you ever dreamed.
- The Overwhelm – A swoop of overwhelm because of all the tasks, discipline and action you need to take in order to bring that future vision of life.
- The Comfort Zone – Your brain will now catalog all the ways you tried this goal or habit before and didn’t make it work. You will then push your plans to the back burner and stay in your comfort zone until the next surge.
Note, this blog is going to be the surge you need to get started but I want you to work through the overwhelm by sitting with it and taking action with any of the tasks after each section. Step Six: Build trust with your self one small action at a time, now.
How do you work with the overwhelm instead of running with it? Build trust with yourself means picking up an old project you forgot about and finishing it. It means changing your daily routine to match the energy of the future version of you. It is weird and uncomfortable because you are in the same space (bedroom, home, apartment) changing how you act.
In my new Day Dream Diaries series which you will see at the end of the month I pulled out every single one of my crochet projects that I have started and all the unused yarn I have. My goal to build trust with myself within my crochet hobby is to finish all of these before buying new yarn. And then I am going to pick new projects with the yarn I already have.
Another way you can build trust is to complete 1 thing every day future you will be doing. For me, future me folds her laundry right out of the dryer. Current me, leaves it in the hamper for a few days. The one action I can take a few time a week that connect with my dream life is folding my laundry out of the dryer but also energetically connect. I do this to keep my space tidy, take care of my clothes and it’s only 5, 10 minutes tops.
ACTION STEP: Complete one small thing in your space right now that future you will be doing.
Step Seven: Disrupt your mundane by adopting a persona
The last step to rebranding your life right now is to add one small thing to your style, body, surroundings that will make you feel different. For me I chose earrings and a ring. I rarely wear accessories so putting on a ring each morning, put in earrings felt different. It’s a very small adjust to my mundane but it was enough to push me outside of my comfort zone. You can braid your hair if you don’t normally do that, paint your nails a colour you haven’t before, put on that random shirt you bought but it didn’t feel like you – does it feel like your persona?
ACTION STEP: Go play dress up, try a new make up style, hair style, clothing style and see how you feel.
Rebranding your life takes time but working through these 7 Steps Before 2026 will help you get that much closer to achieving your dream life.
