5 Steps to Getting Your Life Together This Spring:

  1. Reassess Yearly Goals
  2. Declutter
  3. A Cleaning Ritual
  4. Hobbies
  5. Habits

Reassess Your Yearly Goals

We are three months into the new year. I have always felt like Winter (especially January and February) aren’t the true new year. Winter is for rest, shedding what doesn’t serve you and feeling cozy. You can still work towards your goals it will just look different.

Now is the time to reassess your yearly goals and adjust them as needed. Where do you want to be by March 2027?

Declutter Your Space

Next is to remove what no longer serves you in your current space. Empty a drawer, closet, pantry or wardrobe. You could even do all four but start small and add on as needed. By decluttering your space you can opening up room for a new energy.

This is also a great time to rearrange a room if you feel compelled to.

Create and Implement A Cleaning Ritual

Once your space has been decluttered give everything a clean. This means vacuuming, sweeping, wiping and organizing each space. You want to be thorough here since it can bring in new life to your space.

The fresh feeling of clean sheets, an organized closet and sparkling clean bathroom make it easier to show up for your goals.

Even better then simple cleaning is to make this a ritual. Decide how you want to feel once your space is cleaned. Turn on music, but on a cute cleaning outfit, and dance your way through it. As you clean each space whisper affirmations (spells) of thanks and gratitude for the year to come. Thank your house for keeping you warm this winter.

And then write down your cleaning ritual to continue each day, week or month to maintain your space.

Start a Hobby

It is time to dust off an old project or start something new. By turning to a hobby this time of a year it will help you reduce screen time and stress. It will also make you feel like a beginner which is not a bad thing. Be bad at something isn’t a character flaw. You get to push yourself, try something new and then grow from it.

Reset Your Habits

Lastly, take a look at your daily and weekly habits. Do they align with your yearly goals? If not then it is time for a daily habit reset. Take sometime to sit with your habits, determine which ones are working and which ones are not. And then you can add new habits, remove others and adjust the ones you want to keep.

Spring is a time to plant some seeds (not all of them) in order to nurture them over the spring and summer months. You have what it takes to live the creative, fun, organized, whimsy (what ever adjective you want) life.

All you need to do is name your goals, believe in your ability and trust yourself to accomplish them.
