Crush your Q4 Goals even if you’ve slacked all year!

Are you ready to get back on track! We are officially starting Fall 2025 and there is no time like the present.

I know, you might be thinking Marissa can’t I just wait until the new year? NO! You can change your life in 90 days. I know there is something you have been craving, dreaming about but you are holding yourself back. Let’s work through that together.

Setting goals at the beginning of the year is fun and exciting but by now you have probably given up or convinced yourself next year will be fine. I want you to take a chance on yourself and make the next 90 days your best yet.

5 Steps to Get Back on Track

  1. Review
  2. Release
  3. Reconnect and create a fall vision board
  4. Focus your energy
  5. Daily Habits

Welcome to Q4! Let’s make the most of fall 2025 and reconnect with your goals.

Review the year

Yikes, you have to look back on the last nine months to see what has worked, what hasn’t? Yup. Let’s get clear on where your time and energy is going? What were your intentions at the beginning of the year and what got in the way.

This is not to discourage you or overwhelm you. Take a moment to look back and assess your progress. What are your big wins? What do you still want to acheive?

Release

All the decisions you made this year brought you to this point. Release yourself from the shame, sadness, disappointment or whatever emotion is coming up about your lack of progress or action. I should have started sooner! You didn’t, so start now. If I just did this every day for the last six months I would already have achieved it. Well, you didn’t, so start now.

Say out loud to yourself. I didn’t do it yet so I am going to start now.

Reconnect and make a vision board

Dust off your new years vision board and reconnect with those goals. If some of those goals no longer align with you it is time to make a new one. You can even start fresh by creating a fall vision board.

I personally use Pinterest and Canva to make my vision boards.

The purpose of this is to get you excited about that big picture again. The benefit of a vision board is to give you that daily reminder of what you want to accomplish.

Focus your energy

Once you have that spark back and you are energized to get going. I don’t want to smother that spark but you need to focus your energy for the next 90 days. I recommend picking three goals max. To get started what areas of your life do you want to focus on right now:

  • Health
  • Finances
  • Relationships
  • Career
  • Home

You can create your own categories but these tend to be the main five areas most people want to improve. Pick one or two areas to focus on now and set a clear, obtainable goal.

How to set a goal?

You can use the SMART goal acronym for this: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time bound to align with your goals.

However, I have built my own system called the DREAM SEQUENCE.

You pick a goal in the Health Category and Career Category. A broad goal would be “I want to lose weight” but that doesn’t mean much if you don’t have a clear idea of what it would take to lose weight over 90 days. Your career goal of “I want to land my first paying UGC client” is not going to doing much when you have not defined the steps to get there.

The purpose of the dream sequence is to work backwards and put in as many steps as possible so you can start small and manageable.

Dream Sequence for “I want to land my first UGC Client” would look like this:

You start from the end goal “Signing contract with 1 UGC Client” and create steps of all the things you will need to accomplish to get there. Then you find your starting point, flip the arrows the other way and get to work.

Daily Habits

Once you have your focus and your dream sequence it is time to get clear on how much progress you will make on this goal in the next 90 days and that comes down to your daily actions.

Let’s say you are starting a brand new instagram account as a UGC creator. Your focus for the next three months will be creating content, your portfolio and pitching clients.

It depend how you want to do this in your day to day. Break it down into 30 days of content creation, 30 days of content creation AND portfolio building and then 30 days of content creation, portfolio building and client outreach?

Or you can do it all once. Create content, build your portfolio and reach out to potential clients each with daily and weekly habits for the next 90 days. This look different for everyone depending on how much time you have to spend.

How has the last 90 days changed my life?

Personally for me over the Summer, I completed a Summer 93 challenge where I worked out everyday, 7000 Steps, 30 Minute Blog Session to bring Create with Marissa to life and a 30 Minute Writing session, counted calories and read 10 pages a day.

Technically today would mark Day 164 out of 75 because I started my 75 Medium challenge to fundamentally change my lifestyle and not a quick fix.

The goal with setting up any new habit is to connect it to your big life goals while making it small enough to fit into your current day to day life. It will be inconvenient and uncomfortable. You have to decided what is worth it. Hitting your goals or staying exactly where you are now.
