6 YouTube Videos to Build a Healthy Lifestyle

The hardest part about build habits around movement, recovery and nervous system regulation is showing up. I have struggled with being consistent and prioritizing movement most of my life.

What changed? I completed the 75 Medium Challenge. I had to workout every single day for 45 minutes and that is where I found these at home YouTube videos that made it easy to show up and stay committed.

6 YouTube Videos to Stay Consistent with health and wellness habits:

  1. Kickboxing
  2. 15 Minute Dance Workouts
  3. Walks
  4. Pilates
  5. Breathwork
  6. Recovery

Kickboxing – Eleni Fit

This was the very first workout I did for my 75 Medium Challenge and I come back to it again and again. It’s fun, upbeat and no repeat movements.

15 Minute Dance Workouts – MadFit

This is an entire playlist of 15 minute dance workouts that are fun and beginner friendly. If you only have a short window of time to move your body this is a great option

Walks – Ingrid Fit

These are the perfect low impact workout and she posts every single day so you do something new each morning or evening.

Pilates – Move with Nicole

This workout was hard for me. I am thoroughly impressed by Nicole and she honestly inspired me to keep working out because she is a powerhouse. You can still show up for workouts that are challenging. To try them, adapt and watch yourself improve week to week, month to month.

Breathwork – Yoga with Adriene

Another great tool for your overall health and well being is breathwork. I mention this often when building habits because you can centre yourself and regulate your nervous system. Adriene has many other yoga workouts for all levels to check out as well.

Recovery Yoga – Yoga with Kassandra

This is a great option to reset, breathe and feel connected to your goals. Movement, health and exercise do not need to be fast paced, intense workouts all the time. This recovery yoga is a great way to balance your exercise schedule each week.

Building exercise habits can take a lot of mental energy. I have fought myself on pressing play so many times but I knew if I wanted to hit my goal (lose 30lbs) I had to show up when I was mad, sad, happy, confused, and every other emotion in the book.
