It is the middle of August! We are half way through the summer and you know what you need to do. Clutter your digital spaces.

Why do a digital declutter?

Get rid of what no longer serves you or makes you feel joy. Also it can help improve your mood and make you feel more organize in your digital space.

Photo Albums

This you chance to go through all your photos. Delete those screenshots you took once and never looked again. Organize photos you want to keep and remove the ones you no longer need. You can also look into getting an external hard drive to store photos and videos in order to free up space on your phone.

Apps

Declutter your home screens to make your phone experience align with your goals. Delete apps that are off loaded and you have used in month. Ask yourself if each app on your phone right now has a purpose. And for any apps that you are unsure about make an idk folder, store the apps in there and in 3 months if you do not touch them. Delete them for good.

Social Media Unfollow List

Your social media is for your. Go look at your following and followers list and unfollow anyone that no longer aligns with you. You can also refollow someone later if you chose but ask yourself what do you need right now. What will make you feel better about your life and goals. Get rid of whatever doesn’t align.

Social Media DMs

Delete, respond or block anyone in your DMs. If you get a lot of messages you can block certain words or phrase to benefit your mental health.

Social Media Content

Go through your own social media content and remove posts that no longer align with you.

Kindle App

Remove books from your Kindle downloads you won’t read, haven’t read yet or do actually want to read. This will clear up more room to add to your TBR.

Music Playlists

Declutter your music playlists from artists you no longer support. Add in new music that makes you feel good. And rename playlists that align with your mood, season in life or just because.

Text Messages

Go through your text messages and see which ones you can delete.

Unsubscribe from emails

Take time to go through your email inbox and unsubscribe from any brands or businesses that you don’t want to see in your inbox anymore. I know that everything under the sun requires and email address nowadays but unsubscribe from the marketing emails from the ones that do not matter to you to clear up your inbox.

Google Drive

When it doubt upload it to google drive right? Well, now you have to organize and declutter that too. What files are taking up too much space? Can you remove anything? Get rid of what you no longer need.

Download Folder

I work in social media so I download a lot of graphics and video content. My downloads folder is full on regular basis and takes up a lot of storage space. This is your chance to move important documents to an external hard drive for safe keeping or delete it all together.

DeskTop

Do you save everything to you desktop? Delete, organize or save elsewhere to have a clutter free home screen on your computer/laptop.

Digital Planner and Notebooks

How many digital planners or notebooks have you downloaded? And how many of those do you use regularly? That’s what I thought. Take a look at the notebooks that you love and can continue using this year. And then remove the rest. Make space for your next years digital planner – see here for something special!
