Planning Apps for Creators
I personally use Notion for my content planning. Well, life planning if I am being honest. Now I have only used the personal version. I don’t have a team of people to manage so I cannot talk about that aspect of it of it.
The goal of your content planning software is to make it as easy as possible. You want a place that you can access to right now ideas in the moment so they don’t get lost in your mind or notes app. And then having everything all in one place. You captions, hashtags, scripts, content files. You name it.
Content Creation Apps for Creators
Next is creating your content. I personally use Canva and have used it for almost 7 years now. It has so many features and it is affordable for the pro version. Personally, I am trying to learn Figma but it is a beast in and of itself. It is not meant for daily social media graphics or content but it can be used for that if you are familiar with the platform.
Editing Apps for Creators
- Capcut
- Inshot
- In app (Instagram or TikTok)
Editing your video content. Now, as I am writing this Capcut did recently update their terms of use to be extremely vague. This means that they could potentially own all the content you put in their platform. It is not completely clear so you can use your own discernment when using that platform. I did use InShot for years before Capcut came out. I am moving back to that platform when I need to edit out of app. That being said editing your videos in Instagram and TikTok works very well.
Scheduling Apps for Creators
The last step in your content creation process is scheduling your content. Do I believe posting live is an “algorithmic hack” and you should never schedule your content. No. Scheduling what you can. However, somethings cannot be schedule like TikToks, Stories and Reels. Find a balance between schedule the content that works – static posts and carousel posts – and then set a timer to do the rest.
Also, Instagram can now schedule all your content in app (except stories) which can save you a lot of time if you are managing multiple social accounts or trying to grow your own accounts. The only down side to scheduling on Instagram is you cannot see a grid preview. However, you can use this Canva Hack here.
